We're all humans here. And humans have emotions, right? Right.

Let's focus on one in particular for a second. How many of you have something or have had something-or someone even-that you absolutely hated? You just couldn't STAND this person or thing or school assignment, whatever. Even now you feel sick thinking about it, right?

Now we've established that…I want to tell you a story.

Madison Moss, Elicitor from The Wizard Heir and the Dragon Heir by Cinda Williams Chima. I think Maddie's my favorite, at least of the many brilliant female characters...I connect with her the most.

It's a great series! I was lucky enough to get an ARC of The Warrior Heir and posted a fansite the day the book released. Though the site needs a revamp---lol I've been in college and kinda neglected it.

any tips on getting ARCs? (says the girl who just finished Gray Wolf Throne and thinks Summer 2012 is too long to wait for Crimson Crown) XD

Don't spoil GWT for me! I'm rereading TDK and TEQ first for a refresher!

I got the ARC at a special ALA midwinter conference that just happened to be in my city and they were looking for teens to read books on their BBYA nominee list and to recommend which ones should win. My friend and I founded the library club at our h.s. so we got to go, and they were handing out free ARCs like candy.

The site is here and I'm hoping to get it updated soon. I added a board for the Seven Realms Series today but then my mum called me to dinner, and then it was time to go see "Gladiator" for the Thursday night special, and so on: [link]

ALA, i should have known! i work in a library but traveling to ALA has always been too pricey. hopefully it'll be near me sometime soon!!
